My Creative Scrapbook Main Kit

BEST GIFT

This quote that I cut from a sheet of Teressa Collins paper that came in December's My Creative Scrapbook Main Kit seemed perfect for these pictures of my nieces and nephew last Christmas. Everything on these two pages came from the kit and the flower add on except the gold puffy glue.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

My sister opening her Christmas Eve pajamas and giving the camera a kiss.

Everything on this page is from the kit except the large poinsettia, which came in the add on.

So Happy Together *Gone Scrapbooking*

The photo is of my son Ben and his fiancé Astrid on the beach in San Francisco. Ben is much on my mind since he is experiencing so many exciting changes in his life right now, including graduating with his PhD this coming May, then getting married a week later and he was just hired as an Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri. It is all enough to make the mama very proud!

I always trace die-cut shapes onto cardstock and cut them out to use later as patterns, which is how I made the background for this layout. I then layered it on teal cardstock and cut around the edge with scallop edging scissors adding the white dots with a Signo gel pen to give it a more finished look.

Stop by Jackie's blog and gallery to see more of her terrific layouts!

Product list:

My Creative Scrapbook November Main Kit
- Brown sheer ribbon

Creative Memories
- Scalloped paper edgers

Fancy Pants - Happy Together
- Patterned paper
- Heart sticker
- Lace trim

Pink Paislee
- House of Three - Parisian Anthology Collection - Flower Darlings

Prima
- Tuscany Seaside flower

Signo
- White gel pen

My Creative Scrapbook- Dec. Reveal - Limited Edition

First I want to say how excited I am to be the newest member of My Creative Scrapbook's design team. I am so honored and humbled to be working with Pam's gorgeous kits and with such a talented team.

This month's Limited Edition kit will simply blow your socks off the chimney it is so beautiful. The hardest part for me was making myself cut into the gorgeous papers, but there were all the matching embellies waiting for a home, so cut I did. I can't wait for you to see the reveal over at the MCS website.

MAGIC

This is one of my favorite photos of my grandson Gary because of the look of pure wonder in his eyes. It was taken on Christmas Eve two years ago.

TIS THE SEASON

We have had a long standing family tradition of opening one gift on Christmas Eve. The gift eventually evolved into a carefully chosen book for each of my sons. Now that I have grandchildren, they are included in our tradition with the addition of Christmas pajamas. This is my grand daughter Ceairrah with her new book and pjs.

TRADITION
My sister's family also shares the Christmas pajama tradition and the above photo is of my niece Paige opening hers on Christmas Eve.

LOVE at HOME
Paige, Keilani and Connor in their new Christmas pajamas.

DEAR SANTA
My grandson Gary "typing" up his letter to Santa two years ago.

SPIRIT of the SEASON

My sister Catherine and her children, Keilani and Connor with the real Christmas tree they purchased last year.

#1 Dad

The photo is of my oldest son Bryant when he became a dad to his oldest daughter Ceiarrah, who came into our family at the ripe old age of three! After his marriage to her mom, Danielle; Bryant made it official by adopting Ceairrah, who is now 10-years-old and big sister to a 3-year-old little brother.

The silk ivy leaves are scavenged from an old floral arrangement. I often use silk leaves and flowers on my layouts. I apologize that I no longer have the label for the stamped swirls.

Visit Jackie's blog and gallery to see more of her super scrapbooking!

imagination

This is another picture of my grandson on my photo op gone wrong. I didn't get a single photo of the kids in front of my autumn garden because the neighbor's puppy never lit there, and the kids went wherever the puppy went. I love this photo however because I can just see the wheels turning behind those mischievous big blue eyes!

The page is made with November's beautiful Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook along with the flower add on. I just love that MCS is now providing that option as much as I love flowers! This kit features Fancy Pants "Happy Together" collection along with an unbelievable amount of gorgeous embellishments even without the add on.

For this page I added a few of my own purchases, like the gorgeous butterflies purchased from Lidia Salas's etsy shop, Breaking Barriers. The chipboard title is by Maya Road.

- Cardstock

Clip art butterfly, printed out on cardstock and hand cut

Ruff and Tumble

Today's scrapbooking inspiration is "Ruff and Tumble" by Jackie Anderson. Jackie says, "My burning bush is aflame with autumn splendor, surrounded by beautiful rose shrubs. I could just imagine the glorious photos I could get of my grandchildren posed in front of them, so I asked their mom to bring them over for a photo shoot. Even the best laid plans of mice and men can be disrupted by a puppy, which is exactly what happened to mine. The neighbor's puppy came waltzing over and my photo op disappeared! Both the puppy and my 3-year-old grandson are so hyperactive that I was lucky to get any photos at all, let alone the endearing, sweet ones I had imagined taking in front of my autumn garden!"

Stop by Jackie's blog and gallery to see more of her fantastic scrapbook pages.

Around the Block
- Teal patterned background paper

Bazzill
- Cardstock

Handmade flowers

Prima
