Your family is so proud of you!

This is my family, with the exception of one brother, my husband, and my sons, who could not be there with us to celebrate my niece Paige's college graduation due to work. Group photos are difficult to make look good, but this is a group that is deserving of my best effort! I used May's main kit from MY CREATIVE SCRAPBOOK.

The green leaves are Silhouette cuts that I inked and then added stickles. I also added an E-line pearl and stickles to the bird sticker to dress it up a little. The small alphabets were not included in the kit and are by Jenny Bowlin.

I hope this layout will be special to Paige not only because it contains a photo of the people who love her most in this world, but because it also includes those adorable knit flowers made by her grandma. My mom and dad have been volunteering at their local hospital, and one thing my mom has been doing as part of her volunteer work is making knit baby caps for the newborns. She was making these adorable little flowers to go on them and I said what cute embellishments they would make for scrapbooking pages as well, so she sent me a bunch. I dressed the up with some Prima E-line pearls and mini roses.

I gotta feeling SOMEONE LOVES YOU

Below are a couple of quick pages I threw together of my adorable little nephew, Connor, and niece celebrating the college graduation of their big sister. The way time flew leading up to Paige's graduation, it won't be any time at all until they are wearing their own caps!

I used the main kit from MY CREATIVE SCRAPBOOK for May for both of these pages.

Happy for big sis

Ten-year-old Keilani trying on Paige's graduation cap in preparation for the day when it is her turn! In the small photo Paige's family is performing a song the kids wrote for her for her graduation. I wish I had the words to include here because they were so clever, but Paige has them in her graduation card in Keilani's handwriting, so that is all that really counts.

Thanks so much for dropping by!

bride

I couldn't wait for this new Capella collection pack of Basic Grey paper to become available and bought it as soon as it made an appearance in my favorite online store at Scrapbook.com. Silly me, I bought it thinking I would save it for Ben and Astrid's wedding next May, but it was sitting in my stash taunting me with its beauty and I just couldn't stand it, especially when I still have so many gorgeous photos from Katie's and Tim's wedding still unscrapped! So BG, if you are reading this, please come out with another gorgeous wedding pack by next May! LOL!

Grandma's Gloves

This little boy is such a joy to his grandma! I just get such a kick out of him. He has been the caped crusader for several weeks now beginning when his big sister tied this old throw around his neck, which drug 3 feet behind him and was constantly tripping him up, but which he would not be without. His mom sewed him several others that are short enough not to get stepped on and caught on things. For some reason, he is also into gloves and was delighted to discover my gardening gloves. The other day he came over dressed in his Spider Man t-shirt, his transformer cape and one of those brightly colored, striped toe socks on his hand for a glove!

This is another layout done with the adorable kit Pam put together for May's MY CREATIVE SCRAPBOOK kit. I added the Prima flower stem, which was also a gift from Pam for being a GDT this month, the Prima E-line white flowers and the K&C stitched brads.

The design is lifted from one of my favorite artists and best scrapbooking friends, Luzma's "my best friend" layout.

Garden Grow

It is snowing in Price! May 24 and it is flippin' snowing! I had to turn on the furnace!!!!

These photos were taken back in the end of April when we actually had a day warm enough to get out and work in the yard. My grand kids love to come out and dig in my flower beds with me, and that is my daughter-in-law, Danielle, admiring the worms Ceairrah is digging up. As you can see, it is not easy being a super hero, and that darn cape just keeps getting in the way of my little grand son Gary!

This layout is done with May's darling main kit from MY CREATIVE SCRAPBOOK. I used a variation on the sketch included with the kit created by the talented Julie Bonner.

Hope the sun is shining on your garden today!

a day in my life - TCR palette #7

This color palette proved to be a real challenge to me, but I really like the way it came out and hope my Paige does too since this goes in her college album. I didn't quite get it done in time for graduation, so took the album with completed pages to her and will send the rest to her to add.

The papers are Cosmo Cricket - Earth Love Collection. The flowers, butterfly and pearls are Prima and I used a Martha Stewart punch.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Pole Dancer

This alluring creature is my sister out on the town on Halloween dressed as a red neck house wife and performing a pole dance in a local bar! These Graphic 45 "Domestic Goddess" papers provide just the right irony, although they are so beautiful that, no offense Catherine, but I want to use this same layout with another photo some time.

I layered Prima with Petaloo flowers and the mini roses and pearls are also by Prima. The swirl is a Silhouette cut.

Domestic Goddess

LOL!!!!!!!!!! This is my beautiful sister on Halloween last year dressed as a self described red neck housewife. I recast her in my layouts as a domestic goddess! You must promise to return to my blog on June 5th when I can post the GDT work I did for My Creative Scrapbook and see how truly beautiful she is in the layout I did of her and her life partner Brooke all dressed up for her daughter's college graduation.

I have had these pix for awhile and think they are so funny and have really wanted to scrap them, but not being a fan of Halloween, or Halloween paper, I just didn't know how to go about it until I had the brain storm to use this Graphic 45 "Domestic Goddess" collection! Brilliant irony don't you think!

I ran the patterned paper through my paper crimp-er, cut the title from a sheet of pp and layered it over Petaloo blooms adding the little Prima mini rose. The E-line pearls and felt are also Prima.

HA HA HA HA HA! Brooke snapped the second photo of her coming out of the bathroom when her stuffing slipped and I just couldn't resist the title! That will teach her to send me pix to scrap!!!!! LOL! I can't wait to see if this one gets pulled off from SB.com. like they did the one of Paige posing in front of a girlie poster. Maybe you can't mention the word boob, or they won't like a photo of a woman in her underwear! Stay tuned!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit!

University of Arizona WildCat

In preparation for Paige's graduation I have been putting together an album of photos I have lifted from her facebook page. I think it says a lot about her that I had such a hard time finding a photo of just her for the title page. In her photos she is always surrounded by friends! Since I don't know who many of them are, I added tags for her to fill in the names.

This page features Webster's Pages "Life's Portrait" collection, bloomers, trims, stickers and sparklers. I also added some Prima flowers and e-line pearls along with a swirl cut with the Silhouette, and added some hand stitching.

This is the one photo I was able to find of Paige alone to use for the title page of her college album. I think she was at a ballgame and was caught in motion so the quality isn't that great, but it goes well with this mix of U of A papers and Ruby Rocket patterned papers and embellishments.

cards

May has been a very busy month already! Monday I am leaving for a week to go to Tucson for my niece Paige's college graduation. As you can see, I have already been to my daughter-in-law's college graduation earlier this month and with company coming, completely forgot to photograph her card! This one for Paige will go with the album I have put together for her with photos lifted from her facebook page.

I cut the card, title, cap and grad silhouette on my Silhouette and used Fancy Pants "Road Show" papers and decorative brads. The flowers and felt are Prima.

My other niece, Keilani, is celebrating her 11th birthday this month by traveling to the national Odyssey of the Mind competition where her team qualified by taking second in state, so this card serves both as congratulations and birthday.

The card and die cuts are all done on the Silhouette and the papers are My Minds Eye.

The skunk is a private joke between Keilani, Connor and I.

And then, of course, this is Mother's Day, so may I take this opportunity to wish all my cyber friends a very Happy Mother's Day!

This card for my mom was also cut with my Silhouette and features Webster's Pages "Life's Portrait" papers. The cameo is also by WP, and the felt is by Prima. I cut the butterfly from pp and added stickles.

This last card for my mother-in-law is also a Silhouette cut featuring Webster's Pages "Life's Portrait" papers and alphabets. I also cut this butterfly from the pp and added stickles.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and Happy Mother's Day!

dream BIG

My daughter-in-law, Danielle, graduated from the College of Eastern Utah on May 1, 2010. She has done so well, working part time, being a wonderful wife to my son and mom to my 2 grand kids as well as taking first, second, and third places in national competitions and securing her place at state competitions to compete nationally again this year. We are very proud of her!

Almost every thing on this page is from Webster's Pages "Life's Portrait" collection. The trims and embellishments are aslo WP, with the exception of the Prima flowers and Silhouette diecut title.

Love big too!
This is my oldest son, Bryant, on the occasion of his wife, Danielle's graduation from CEU last week end. He graduated last year and they are continuing their education at Utah State University next year. I am so very proud of them.

This page also features Webster's Pages "Life's Portrait" collection and trims. I used the sketch from The Color Room Pallette #2.
