Strut Your Stuff
I took the title, of course, from the BoBunny Peacock Lane paper, but it seemed fitting for these young beauties. In the middle is my niece Paige and she is flanked by her two BFF's since grade school, ReAnn and Ashlyn. Part of her college graduation gift was a plane ticket to Salt Lake City for this get-together.

Camp Hosts - Dad and Mom
...it's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it!
My dad and mom were called by their church to serve as camp hosts during the summers at the church owned Blue Mountain Ranch, so for the past couple of years when we get together for our annual June family camp out it has been there rather than our usual stomping grounds on the Boulder Mountain where we have been camping together as a family for as long as I can remember. For all my years as a kid we camped in tents preparing meals from a cooler and over a fire pit, using the backwoods as a toilet and the stream as a bathtub... brrrrrrr! It was great progress when camp sites were developed and we could actually hike to an outhouse!
After I married and had my own young family Dad and Mom had progressed from tents to a camper, but when we were able to join them we inherited the tents. I will never forget our first camp out with our very young family when Bryant was just 19-months-old and Ben only 6-months. Two babies in diapers, neither of them walking, and we were camped in a tent! It was every bit as miserable as it sounds and we didn't join the annual family camp out again until our boys were older, though while Matt was a baby, his older brothers went camping with Grandma, Grandpa and their aunt and uncles several times.
And look at the 5th wheel Mom and Dad camp in now, along with all our toys! Russ and I too have a 30 foot trailer, and my brother share Bill's trailer. You would be hard pressed indeed to find me camping in a tent now, although when we were able to get our own grown kids together to try and carry on this family tradition, they were relegated to tents!
Below are my mom and dad in their various kitchens, and as you can see, camping these days can hardly be called roughin' it!

DAD
I am now the official family memory keeper and have been informed by my brother that scrapbook pages are expected as birthday, Christmas, etc., and so on, gifts, which suits me fine! So these two pages of our parents are for him.
They are done on the front and back of a single sheet of paper, one on the patterned side and the other on the plain side. The one of my mom is on the plain side, so you can see how much fussy cutting I put into these pages.

Dover grandparents
I made this layout for the July challenge at "Inspire Me" on the Webster's Pages website. It is currently being featured, which brings me so much pleasure! The tiny side photo is the original photo, but it was so small that I tried scanning and blowing it up, which resulted in a grainy photo, but one that fills the page a little better. I also wanted to include the original. This is one of the few pictures I have of my mom's parents before they became my grandparents.

My Mind's Eye - quite contrary - Little Boy Blue collection
Quickutz: Silhouette die cuts
I made the flowers using Silhouette die cut flowers and water by turning them into spit balls, carefully unfolding them, inking the edges once they had dried and attaching them with a brad.
I cut the matching embellishments with my Silhouette and pieced them.

Little Darlin'
And here is another page featuring July's My Creative Scrapbook and my darlin' niece Keilani as a baby.
I just love the way this collection allowed me to do the bright, cheerful, fun pages as well as these warm, pretty, girlie ones. I added the white Petaloo blooms from my own stash, but everything else is from July's main kit. It features the Fancy Pants "Rusted Sun" collection.
I created this ribbon look by twisting the ribbon, bunching it a little and then sticking it down with a glue dot.

heat wave
This is my very first submission as a DT representing Gone Scrapbooking.com at Examiner.Com. and I am a little nervous about whether or not it is up to snuff having never been on a creative team before. Here's the link if you want to check it out: Scrapbook inspiration from Jackie Anderson. There are 8 other creative team members and each day features the work of one of these talented artists.
The page features my lovely future daughter-in-law Astrid someplace in Kansas where she and my son are grad students at the University of Kansas.

Today
This was such a lovely spot on the Camp Jackson trail ride I took with my husband, brother and dad on our camp trip last month. The Abajo Mountain in Southeastern Utah was so lush and green from the heavy snow fall last winter and splashed with spots of color from purple Lupin, to pink wild roses, to the pure, intricate delicacy of this patch of white Columbine nestled in all the greenery. This photo serves as a wonderful reminder to enjoy each moment life has to offer.
