When we were dating, Russ brought me flowers every single date, no matter whether we were going to the company Christmas party like in this layout, or just to lunch. He still sends me flowers. This mix of my favorites, Stargazer lilies, along with roses and phlox, were delivered just this past weekend, after 15 years of marriage. They don't come as often these days, but they do still come..
The layout was done with the gorgeous new Prima Pastiche collection. The papers are so beautiful that I have a hard time doing anything but pasting a photo on them and trying not to cover up too much!
I did try a little creative framing by cutting around some old Prima flower packaging to create the black frame, and the green matting is also backing from Prima brand flowers. I inked around its edges to give it some definition. The flowers are also Prima, and the chipboard elements are part of the Pastiche collection. The alphabets are also manufactured by Prima Marketing. It is one of my favorite brands in case you can't tell! I used my Silhouette electronic cutting machine to cut the stem.
I scanned the butterflies from this patterned paper before beginning my layout and then blew them up bigger, cut them out by hand and added some Stickles glitter glue for added sparkle, then bent up the wings for dimension and glued them on.
