Astrid

I had a request (yippee!) from an old friend from SB.com on an old layout. Candy asked if I could show how I did the title. It is a page I did for my future daughter-in-law's birthday album a couple of years ago, so wasn't sure I could still find a photo, but here it is. Explaining the title work is going to be a bit more difficult since I no longer have the page and my memory is so bad, but I'll give it a shot:

Supply List:
card stock
traceable alphabets or die cut machine
embossing ink
embossing powder
heat applicator
Inkadinkado "Birds Galore" clear acrylic stamps

First: Trace the word on your card stock. I used 3 inch alphabets for this title. I didn't have my Silhouette at the time or I would have used it to cut my alphabets, leaving them attached to the sheet for the following steps.

Second: I used Inkadinkado's Birds Galore stamp for Astrid's name, but you could use any stamp, or series of stamps. I applied the embossing ink, stamped across the traced letters, dusted with white embossing powder, removed the excess by blowing it off the page and then applied heat with my heat embossing tool.

Third: After the stamp cooled, I lightly traced the the alphabets once more with a glue pen and dusted with the same embossing powder, following the same procedure as in step 2.

Last: I carefully cut around the embossed edges of my alphabets and stamped birds, using my craft knife to remove inner spaces so that all the letters remained connected and my title was one whole piece. If you have a Silhouette, you could just remove the letters, cutting around where the stamp connects them.

I hope this makes sense. Please feel free to ask questions if not.
