Cool Dude (s)

This is my middle son Ben with his one-time roommate, Ryan, from grad school at KU... the goof balls! Don't look very smart here do they! LOL!

Masculine pages are such a challenge for me. I do love my lace and flowers! My solution is to find masculine looking papers and this Basic Grey "Vagabond " collection fits the bill. I did some distressing and inking on the background shape that I hand cut using one of my traced patterns. I also used a Tim Holtz mask and some Glimmer Mist as well as a Basic Grey stamp to add a little more interest.

I got my new Martha Stewart border punches in the mail today. A Cherry On Top is having a buy 2 get 1 free sale! So I used one of those on this page as well. The title is chip board and a gift from my SB.com friend Bella. I made the tattered flowers following a variation of the tutorial provided by Gabi at her blog: A Pretty Mess. You can find a link on my side bar. Since I used these same Boxer papers to make the flowers, I don't think they are too terribly girlie, and I love the splash of color the stitched fabric Basic Grey brads give my page.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit.
