The Color Room #9

I love this week's palette and sketch from "The Color Room" so much that I used it twice!

CREATE HAPPINESS

I picked this title because the imaginisce rub on is the right color and fit the space so well, but it is also meaningful since that is what Paige does as a general rule and in the case of the occasion of this photo in particular.

She and her family moved from Price to Phoenix the fall before her Sophomore year, leaving behind a young boy several years Paige's junior who has always had a crush on her. When it was time for his junior prom, he asked Paige! Even though she was a Sophomore in college at the U of A, she accepted! This encouraged several of the boy's other friends to also invite several of Paige's friends, who, following her example, returned to their Alma mater for the Junior Prom! As you can imagine, this created a lot of happiness among high school boys, though I doubt the girls in their class were as delighted!

This layout features Kaisercraft "Vagabond" papers. I have been in the mood to mist and used Tatter Angels sage "Glimmer Mist" to spray some base color and then added TA masks and sprayed with "Indian Corn Glimmer Mist."

The stunning flower is, of course, by Prima. The beautiful stick pin is a gift from my sweet friend Bettylou, as are are lace and ribbon. The swirls are "final touch - clearly stickers" by Karen Foster.

The butterfly is by Prima.

BIRTHDAY GIRL

This is the photo that I had in mind when I purchased these papers. It is my adorable little niece Taybree. She is the youngest cousin on my husband's side of the family and this is her 5th birthday. Her mom, Audrey, (believe it or not), made and decorated this cake!

This layout also features the KaiserCraft "Vagabond" paper collection. The flowers are different layered Primas and I used "frost" Glimmer Mist to color the middle layer of the largest flower. The pearls are also a single Prima flourish that I cut apart to fit my design.

The heart and title are Silhouette cuts. I used pop ups on the title after layering it on white card stock and trimming around it to make it stand out better against the pp. I then added Stickles.

The Raggedy Ann title and picture are clip art that I printed and hand cut from white card stock. The white puffs are cut from trim that I purchased at the evil empire.

Thanks so much for sharing in my obsession!

Love your takes on the color challenge this week at TCR. Especially love your Raggedy layout. One of my dd had that same them on her 6th bday and then I repeated it on her 40th Bday, much to her humor! Bought a ton of Ra's off Ebay and she carted home every one of them .. too funny. Thanks for taking me down memory lane! Work is crushing this week and I needed the lift!
