Lazy Days

As Brooke would tell you, this hike outside of Cedar City in Southern Utah was anything but a "lazy day," but hey, it came with the kit and looked good with my design!

This is the final page with my June main kit from My Creative Scrapbook. For some reason, I never buy papers with red on my own and so this kit was fabulous for all the photos I have longing for red and I had a blast letting go of my inhibitions and just going for it! Red is like that! So is Brooke, come to think of it!

The kit features the "savvy" collection from My Mind's Eye. I made the top border by cutting triangles at intervals and then distressing them with my Heidi Grace edge distresser and inking them red. I then cut a punched holes and wove the ribbon, adding puffy glue. I layered it over a strip of paper that I scalloped and inked. the embellishments are hand cut elements from a sheet of pp, chipboard elements, and Prima flowers with centers hand cut from pp, all accented with puffy glue and glitter stickles.

The butterflies are stamped with a We R Memory Keepers stamp included in the kit and then hand cut and accented with stickles and puffy glue.

The corner embellishment is chipboard layered with Prima flowers and embellished with stickles and puffy glue.

The tiny flowers and flower flourish are hand cut from the pp.

Thank you so much for dropping by to take a peek.
