Live in the Moment

Do you ever fall in love with any of your own layouts? I just love this one of Astrid at the beach in either San Francisco or San Diego, I forget which. I love the photo to begin with, and then I just love the way these pps compliment it, which is funny because when I bought them I hated the patterned side of that back ground paper and could not envision ever using this side! Now I think it is perfect! I think this page will be a perfect companion to the one of Ben in the fog!

This "Plush Empress" paper collection is from KaiserCraft. I added the cardboard mat because I think both the texture and color go so well with the photo. The large bloom and fabric leaves are by Prima. I used Martha Stewart stamps, hand cut, inked and added silver fabric glue to the paper leaves. The teal lace, white roses and flower centers are also by Prima. The title and birds are Silhouette cuts. I trimmed the circle with Fiskars scallop scissors and then added pink liquid pearls.

I made the pink flowers by cutting circles which I then tore to give that tattered look, inked and layered with the Prima centers. The border under the photo is a Martha Stewart punch.

I hope you like this page as much as I do! Thanks for taking a look.

Wow, Jackie, I can totally see why you love it .. and why that pp would not have been the first you'd go for if not for how well it goes with your photo. Amazing layout .. love the lace and your handmade flowers!
